Help us welcome Amy Martin as the new Riparian Grant Program Manager!

Amy Martin is joining SCC as the Riparian Grant Program Manager. Amy holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in natural resource management from Washington State University. Her career has focused on monitoring and management of streams, lakes, and wetlands on working lands, including restoration project development. Amy spent seven years with the Okanogan Conservation District as a water quality planner and conservation director. Before the conservation district, Amy worked as a wetland specialist for the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation.
Help us welcome Jenny Coe as the new Forest Health and Wildfire Resiliency Manager!

Jenny Coe is joining SCC as the Forest Health & Community Wildfire Manager. Jenny comes to us from DNR, where she was part of the Community Wildfire Resilience Coordinator Team. She’s worked in the wildfire resilience and forest health sphere in WA State for over 20 years and brings a broad range of experience working with diverse partners and communities. Jenny resides in beautiful Bellingham with her awesome partner and 3 crazy teenagers. She enjoys kayaking, traveling, live music, wine tasting, being outdoors, and making people laugh.
Shana Joy has been promoted to Deputy Director of Programs and Operations!

Shana Joy joined the State Conservation Commission in 2014. Prior to joining SCC, she worked for the Alaska Department of Natural Resources as the Executive Director of the Natural Resource Conservation and Development Board, a position she held for five years. In this role Shana worked closely with 12 diverse conservation districts statewide as well as state and federal agency leaders to advance conservation districts in Alaska.
In her updated role, Shana will continue to lead the regional managers, and manage the transition of programs into a unified and collaborative unit. SCC will be hiring a new Southeast regional manager to take over Shana’s regional manager duties.

- Sarah Wilcox is currently serving at the Interim Voluntary Stewardship Coordinator. She is still managing the agency’s strategic planning work and some internal communications.
- Sarah Groth was promoted in place to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Kate Delavan was appointed from acting to permanent Policy Director.
- Bill Eller was appointed as the Disaster Assistance Program Manager.
- Levi Keesecker was appointed as the Science Hub Lead.
