The Skagit Conservation District services a wide variety of customer natural resources needs. We have a large and thriving farming community as well as a large number of small forest landowners. We work well with the larger cities and Skagit county in managing a coordinated NPDES outreach and education program. We work together with the local Tribes, Fisheries Enhancement Group, Skagit Land Trust, NRCS, Dept. of Ag, Ecology, Padilla Bay National Estuary Program, Drainage Districts, WSU, and other partners to leverage funding, coordinate volunteers and help cooperators implement projects.
The Board of Supervisors meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the 2nd floor conference room, 2021 E College Way, Suite 211, Mount Vernon (except when changed due to holidays). Please call Skagit Conservation District for confirmation of meeting date, time, and location.
Skagit Conservation District's no-till drill has become a crowd favorite due to its minimal soil disturbance, which helps mitigate soil erosion and compaction while enhancing soil organic matter and structure.
