Karla graduated from The Evergreen State College with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-law/Political Science. She has experience with the state legislature and provides fiscal notes and bill tracking for the agency during legislative sessions. Karla previously worked with the Washington State Dairy Federation for several years researching environmental issues, growth management issues, federal rules, and state statutes. Karla joined the State Conservation Commission in 2005. In 2022, Karla transitioned from her role as the contracts manager to her role as policy assistant.
