Conservation Commission hiring Puget Sound Regional Manager – application deadline extended

The Washington State Conservation Commission (SCC) is currently seeking applicants for a Puget Sound Regional Manager (PSRM). This position works independently and is responsible for a wide variety of activities in support of the agency’s commitment to a strong statewide system of conservation districts and landowner stewardship of natural resources.

Some examples of PSRM work include:

  • Providing assistance to assigned conservation districts with creating and implementing policies and programs that improve their ability to benefit natural resources;
  • Recommending management strategies to conservation district board supervisors related to planning, budgeting, personnel, and inter-agency coordination; and
  • Performing field audits of conservation district programs. Position also assists with the implementation and operation of particular agency programs.
