Underwood Conservation District hosts State Conservation Commission Tour

State partners get first-hand look at wildfire preparedness, forest health, and salmon recovery in southwest Washington

STEVENSON, WA – Both the beauty and the challenges afforded by Skamania County landscapes were on display during a tour hosted by Underwood Conservation District on July 19. Tour participants learned how local landowners and communities voluntarily engage with the conservation district on projects that protect communities, fish, and forests for the future.

The tour was part of the bi-monthly meeting of the Washington State Conservation Commission (SCC). Attendees included state, federal, tribal, and non-governmental representatives from agricultural and natural resource fields. See below for captioned photos from the tour.
