The Pierce Conservation District (PCD) is seeking up to four (4) Knotweed Project Technicians to assist with the implementation of knotweed project tasks during the summer of 2016.
In 2016, Pierce Conservation District will continue to use state and federal grant money to survey and treat non-native, invasive knotweed in the upper Nisqually River and South Prairie Creek watersheds as part of regional efforts to restore and improve critical riparian and salmon habitat. This position provides hands-on, real world experience in the natural resources field, with an emphasis on Puget Sound native and invasive plants, riparian and stream ecology, and salmon habitat restoration efforts.
